The museum is open year-round and contains rare pictures, maps, diaries, and exhibits recounting the story of Rochester's rise as a global leader in health care. Seasonally, visitors can also explore the William Dee Log Cabin, an early 1862 pioneer home, as well as the Hadley Valley School House, a traditional one-room school. Walk or drive through the grounds of the George Stoppel Farm, a typical, self-sufficient homestead farm where the earliest settlers lived in the rootcave in 1856.
